Hi, I’m Nadyne Busichio, a Licensed Professional Counselor and the founder of Turning Point Couples and Individual Counseling. With over 20 years of experience and deep roots in evidence-based therapy, I specialize in helping couples and individuals navigate complex emotional landscapes and rebuild strong, lasting relationships. I’m also proud to be the only Certified Gottman Couples Therapist in my area—a distinction that attracts clients seeking practical, proven methods to transform their relationships.
In my work, I blend deep empathy with compassionate curiosity, helping clients feel truly seen, heard, and supported. Many clients describe my approach as warm but direct; I will both challenge and champion them. Whether you’re coming to therapy alone or with a partner, you’ll find a safe, nonjudgmental space where we can talk honestly and work effectively.
As someone who’s been married for 16 years and is raising two wonderful children, I understand firsthand the joys and pressures that come with committed relationships. That lived experience, combined with professional expertise, fuels my passion for helping others create the relationships they deserve.
Professional background
At Turning Point, I work with couples at every stage, from dating and premarital to those in crisis or navigating second marriages. Some clients come together; others come on their own when a partner isn’t yet ready. I also offer intensive couples therapy sessions in addition to traditional weekly appointments.
I specialize in the Gottman Method, one of the most research-backed approaches in couples therapy today. As the only Certified Gottman Therapist in my region, I provide a level of insight and technique that helps couples break unhelpful patterns, improve communication, and rekindle emotional and physical intimacy. But therapy here is never one-size-fits-all. Every client is different, and so is every treatment plan.
My work is also shaped by advanced training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) for trauma. Whether you’re struggling with trust issues, recurring conflict, or emotional disconnection, we’ll draw on the tools that best meet your needs.
Therapy tailored to your needs
Therapy at Turning Point is more than just talking; it’s about learning practical, actionable skills you can begin using right away. Many of my clients report tangible improvements within just a few sessions, and we work together to build on those gains for long-lasting results.
You’ll learn how to:
Communicate more effectively
De-escalate conflict
Rebuild trust and connection
Understand and validate your partner’s perspective
I often help partners articulate what the other is feeling in ways that build mutual understanding and empathy. Clients tell me they appreciate my ability to clearly explain emotional dynamics without judgment and to foster an environment where both people feel validated.
The ultimate goal? To help you grow, heal, and eventually graduate from therapy with the tools to sustain your progress. I want you to thrive in your relationship and your life, not stay in therapy indefinitely.
